Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Who is the Stronger Woman Retreat for?

A: Stronger Woman is for women who desire to grow deeper in their faith, step away from the demands of everyday life, and reconnect with God in a Christ-centered environment. This retreat is for women ages 18 and older.

Q: When and where is the retreat?

A: Stronger Woman 2026 will take place Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Camp Copass on Lake Lewisville in Denton, Texas.

Camp Copass
8200 E McKinney St
Denton, TX 76208

Q: What time should I arrive?

A: Check-in is open on Friday from 12:00 PM–5:00 PM. Cabin access begins at 3:00 PM. Dinner will be served from 5:00 PM–6:00 PM, and Session 1 begins at 6:00 PM.

We strongly encourage arriving before the first session begins so you can settle in and experience the full weekend.

Q: Is lunch provided on Friday?

A: No. Lunch will not be provided on Friday. Please plan to eat lunch before you arrive or bring something with you if needed.

Q: Do I need to book a room on my own?

A: No. Your accommodations are included in your registration fee, and everything will be arranged for you.

Q: Are children or nursing infants allowed at the retreat?

A: While we absolutely value and support mothers, Stronger Woman Retreat is designed to be a distraction-free and intentional environment for women to fully step away, rest, reflect, and engage deeply throughout the weekend. Because of this, children and nursing infants are not permitted at the retreat.

We understand this may create challenges for some women, especially mothers of young children, and we do not make this decision lightly. However, the retreat environment, session flow, lodging arrangements, and group experiences are intentionally designed to allow every woman—including you—the opportunity to be fully present, fully engaged, and uninterrupted throughout the weekend.

Q: What is the minimum age to attend the Stronger Woman Retreat?

A: The minimum age to attend the Stronger Woman Retreat is 18 years old. Throughout the weekend, we discuss personal topics related to identity, shame, healing, relationships, surrender, and spiritual growth in a candid and emotionally honest environment designed for adult women. Because of the depth and maturity of these conversations and experiences, all participants must be at least 18 years of age or older to attend.

Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?

A: Sleeping arrangements will be in group cabins. Each attendee will have a twin-size bed provided.

Please bring your own twin-size bedding, including sheets, a blanket or comforter, pillow, and towels.

Q: Do I need to bring bedding?

A: Yes. Please bring bedding for a twin-size bed, including sheets, a blanket or comforter, and a pillow. You will also need to bring your own towels.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Please bring toiletries, twin-size bedding, pillow, towels, comfortable clothes for three days, walking shoes, a Bible, a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, and any personal snacks or drinks you prefer.

We also recommend bringing a light jacket or hoodie, a journal, an outdoor folding chair for small groups, and an extension cord since cabin outlets may be limited or shared.

Q: Do I need to bring my own food or drinks?

A: Meals, snacks, coffee, water, and drinks will be provided throughout the retreat beginning with dinner on Friday.

Because meals are prepared for a large group, we are not able to accommodate individual dietary restrictions or specialized meal plans. If you have specific dietary needs, preferred snacks, or favorite drinks, please bring those with you for your personal use.

Q: Do I need to bring materials?

A: You will receive retreat materials and a pen when you arrive. Please bring your Bible, as Scripture will be referenced throughout the weekend. You are also welcome to bring a personal journal.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Dress comfortably and casually. You will want clothing that works well for sessions, meals, walking around camp, small groups, and outdoor time.

Please check the weather before you come and pack accordingly. Mornings and evenings may be cooler, so layers are recommended.

Q: Will there be free time?

A: Yes. The weekend includes space for rest, reflection, prayer, journaling, connection, and time with the Lord. You may choose to take a walk, sit outside, rest, or connect with other women.

Q: Will I have to share in a group?

A: You will never be forced to share or put on the spot. Small groups are designed to be safe, honest, and meaningful, but each woman is invited to participate at a pace that feels appropriate.

Q: What if I don’t know anyone?

A: You are not alone. Many women come to retreats without knowing many people. Stronger Woman is intentionally designed to help women feel welcomed, connected, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Q: What if I arrive late on Friday?

A: We strongly encourage arriving before Session 1 begins at 6:00 PM. The weekend is designed to build session by session.

However, we understand that schedules can be tight. If you anticipate arriving late, please reach out in advance so arrangements can be made.

Q: What time does the retreat end?

A: Departure is scheduled for around noon on Sunday. Our final session ends late Sunday morning, followed by clean-up and departure.

We arrive together, and we leave together. Please plan to stay through the final clean-up, as everything moves more quickly when everyone participates.

Q: Can I leave early?

A: We ask everyone to plan to stay through the end of the retreat if possible. The weekend is intentionally designed from beginning to end, and the final session is an important part of the experience.

Q: Is alcohol allowed?

A: No. Stronger Woman is a drug- and alcohol-free retreat.

Q: Is smoking, tobacco use, or vaping allowed at the retreat?

A: While we encourage participants to refrain from smoking or vaping during the retreat weekend, we understand that may not be possible for everyone at this point in their journey. If you do choose to smoke or vape, we ask that you do so respectfully and in accordance with camp and Texas state guidelines.

Please do not smoke or vape within 20 feet of any building entrance, inside any buildings, during small group gatherings, or inside assigned cabins or lodging areas. We simply ask that everyone help us maintain a respectful, clean, and distraction-free environment throughout the weekend.

Q: Are sponsorships available?

A: Yes. Sponsorships are available on a case-by-case basis depending on available funds. We ask each participant to contribute as much as she is able toward the retreat cost.

Partial assistance may be provided if sponsorship funds are available.

Q: Can I help sponsor another woman?

A: Yes. The full cost for one woman to attend the retreat is $250. Gifts of any size help provide sponsorship assistance for women who would not otherwise be able to attend.

If you feel led to help sponsor another woman, you can give at:
https://www.stronger-woman.com/give

Thank you for understanding and helping us responsibly plan for the weekend experience.

Q: Is carpooling an option?

A: Yes. Many women choose to carpool to the retreat. We encourage participants to coordinate transportation with their church, friends, or group. Additional details may be shared closer to the retreat for those interested.

Q: Can I request to stay with friends or a specific group?

A: We will do our best to honor roommate or group requests whenever possible, though accommodations are based on overall retreat logistics and availability.

Q: Will my information and conversations remain confidential?

A: Yes. Stronger Woman is committed to creating a safe and respectful environment. We ask all attendees to honor the privacy and confidentiality of personal stories and conversations shared throughout the weekend.

Q: Who can I contact if I have questions?
